Amazingly enough, I haven't even sat in an Aspire since 2005. It is 2017 now, obviously a lot has changed in autos since that time. When you drive yours today, what are your experiences? Do people ask about the car? Head turning? Mechanics can't find parts?

I know in Michigan, they are very rare to see.

So, how is driving an Aspire in 2017?

In MN Driving a 94 5 speed, 4 door....
Has somewhere over 250,000.... the speedometer cable broke...sometimes I check speed with an gps app
Usually can find an air filter at Mills fleet farm. Replaced gas tank and fuel lines last summer...
Someone thought it was a Fiesta.

Well I own two spires currently. The Glowspire which is up on blocks currently getting a makeover and rebuild and the red bean, a 1.3ltr two door which i got for 200 bucks. It's getting all of the glowspire's original performance parts as the glowspire will be going turbocharged so a whole new setup.

Parts for the 97 spire are hard to come by, I had to source fuel pump parts from a number of different places, the assembly from a nearby wreckin yard and the pump motor from ebay. So there are still a lot of spires getting around here. smile.gif Australia is full of them!

No shortage of spires here!

I live in Michigan and have 8 Aspires and 1 Festiva. One is a 95 SE,one is another 95 with only 57,000 miles,a 96 from Florida that just turned 100,000,another 95 with only 78,000 miles but is so rusty the left front control arm rusted off the body.My daily is a 95 with 450,000+ that I put around 2,000 miles a week on for work.
People give me some funny looks some time.I do all my own work and really don't have much trouble finding parts thanks to the internet.

I currently own 4 Aspires, My DD is a 95 five speed with right at 110,000 - bought it in Colorado a couple years back. My sons DD is a 96 automatic with a ton of miles on it but we just swapped in the low mileage engine from my 97 four door that got totaled last year. Then there's our backup car, my first Aspire, a 95 automatic, it just sits until we need it. All the guys at work make sure they tell me where they saw an Aspire because they know I may be interested. As far as parts go, I buy most new parts online but I have tons and tons of spare parts all over the place. I just love these little cars and I don't ever see myself without one

Mine is a 97 Kia Avella, It is my daily driver, I live in Malta and find new and used parts no problem and plenty of them.
Everytime I go out I meet with several Avellas, plenty of them over here on the island and nearly all of them in good nick.
Mine has 90000 kilometres on the clock, that is 55000 miles, she never let's me down.
