I'm in need of a new rear spindle, and brake drum, I can't find anything around here, brake drums from the parts houses don't fit correctly as if they weren't properly machined, if anyone knows where I can source new parts please let me know. I have no quams with ordering from an Australian or other country and having it shipped here as long as it puts the little warrior back in service.

I'm pretty sure the spindles are not interchangeable, so we need to know which side. If you're getting parts from a reputable parts house, they'll take it back and give you a replacement. I'd start with www.carpart.com, they may have one local to you

Not trying to thread jack, but I'd be interested in the protégé swap myself. This is the first I'm hearing of it.
